Complete Carnival Submissions at 20′s Finances

| Featured Advertiser | September 10, 2012

Tell us a little about yourself?

I am a 25 year-old, happily married guy trying to figure out what to do with his life. Besides blogging and running my side business, I enjoy biking, hiking, backpacking, swimming, and tennis. In other words, I love pretty much anything outdoors and active. I work full-time at a day job and will also be finishing Graduate School in December of this year.

How did you get started in your business?

I got started in my business when I realized that people did not take carnival submissions seriously. It started with helping out a couple of other bloggers submit their posts to carnivals, and it has grown since then. I realized that submitting to carnivals is a monotonous task and one of the least favorite parts about building up a blog. Yet, I know how important it is to keep building quality backlinks to your site and figured that there was room for me to help other bloggers.

Tell us about the product or service that you offer.

I currently take the posts that bloggers write each week and submit them to carnivals for them. My service is a complete service, meaning that it takes all of the work away from them. My service includes selecting which post to submit, the actual submission of the posts, and tracking who included my clients’ posts. I even give them the tools necessary to link back to the carnival host, to make sure that they are abiding by the carnival regulations. My purpose is to generate quality backlinks for bloggers while also increasing their referral traffic and overall publicity. To make it even more attractive, I also submit all posts to carnivals as if the blogger were doing it themselves, so no one knows the difference. Because I know bloggers are resourceful and want to save every penny that they can, I also strive to keep my fee to a minimum.

Is there anything else you would like to share with us?

While many people may question why I am working so hard for so little money, I know that this is one way to achieve my long-term goal of diversifying my income. It’s hard work, but I am happy to provide a quality service for many great bloggers while earning a little extra cash in order to help me reach my career goals of self-employment.

Because I know that people are hesitant to pay to outsource new aspects of blogging, I also offer a 2 week promotion to new clients. So, if you ever want to try my service free of charge, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Corey is best known for being the owner and author at 20′s Finances. Visit Corey’s profile page to inquire about services.

Nuts and Bolts Media

| Featured Advertiser | August 27, 2012

Nuts and Bolts MediaTell us a little about yourself?

My name is Andrea and I am addicted to technology. (Hi, Andrea!) I have a 14 year-old son and four dogs, Bentley, Apollo, Bella, and Moxie. We live in a tiny rural town of about 4500 people in western Kentucky. I’ve basically been a computer nerd since the day I was born – my father is an engineer and there was never a shortage of gadgets to play with, plus it’s not like I had anything better to do around here! I’m very close to my family, most of whom live in the same small town.

How did you get started in your business?

I’m a completely self-taught web designer. I’ve been designing my own websites for about 16 years, and it honestly never occurred to me to turn it into a business. I left my career as a psychotherapist in December 2011 to work from home as a freelance writer, but after a few months I realized that my income fluctuated too much for my liking. During my quest to find a way to express my creative side and increase cash flow, a friend suggested that I start a web design business. A few months later, Nuts and Bolts Media was born!

Tell us about the product or service that you offer.

I offer web design, social media, and tech support services for individuals and small businesses. While logos and websites are the most visible part of what I do, helping clients master social media and solve technical problems are my favorite parts because I get to work with them more closely. My goal is always to help my clients develop their internet presence based on what works best for them, not a cookie cutter approach. Instead of asking a few questions and presenting them with a completed project, I work with them step by step until I know they’re fully satisfied.

Is there anything else you would like to share with us?

I say this a lot, but it’s worth repeating: Anyone can use the internet to meet his or her goals. So many of my clients are intimidated or feel like they’re “too dumb” to have a website, but they are usually far more skilled than they realize! With information and support geared toward their comfort level, my clients go on to harness the web in amazing ways. So to anyone reading who has considered starting a website or blog, I urge you to give it a try. Help is always available if you need it, but you might be surprised at what you’re able to accomplish on your own.

You can visit Andrea at Nuts and Bolts Media or her profile page to inquire about services.

My Multiple Incomes

| Blogging | August 13, 2012

Tell us a little about yourself?

I’m a 27 year old blogger who also happens to work full time.  I’m married, have an awesome black lab, and live in San Diego, CA.  I balance my blogging and freelance writing business at night and during the weekend, and focus on my family during the day.

How did you get started in your business?

I started blogging in 2009 at The College Investor, partly because I was bored, and partly because I had a passion for personal finance.  That led to me creating a second site focused on my personal philosophy of developing multiple income streams, which then inadvertently led to me creating my freelance writing business.

Tell us about the product or service that you offer.

I started freelance writing to fill a need in blogs needing short posts on a given topic.  Running a blog myself, I know how writing a post can be tedious.  One of my strengths is being able to write – I just sometimes have difficulty coming up with the topic.  Freelance post writing is the perfect fit because you come up with the topic and any requirements, and I can write it for you in a short period of time.  I pride myself in being able to quickly fulfill customer needs.

Is there anything else you would like to share with us?

I think that my business shows that there are opportunities out there for anyone to build multiple income streams.  Leverage what you’re good at, and you can be successful.

You can read my story about stumbling into freelancing here: My Multiple Incomes.  You can view My Multiple Incomes profile page to inquire about services.

Crystal for Hire at Budgeting in the Fun Stuff

| Featured Advertiser | July 31, 2012

Tell us a little about yourself?

I’m 29 years old and have been married to Mr. BFS for 7 years.  We live in Houston, TX along with a very close support network of friends and family – they are my top priorities.  We also have two dogs, Miss Doxie (age 14) and Mr. Pug (age 9) that keep us on our toes thanks to old age and allergy issues.  I work from home now as a blogger, blog advertising manager, and hired commenter…it has been an amazing journey over the last 2 years to get here.

How did you get started in your business?

I started blogging in February 2010 after discovering a whole world of people into personal finance as much as I am!  My comments were starting to get as long as other people’s posts, so I made the jump to start my own site.  Blogging led to blog advertising and that eventually led to blog advertising management for others in about a year.  Commenting like crazy also led to commenting for hire.

Tell us about the product or service that you offer.

With blog advertising management, we offer full services for direct advertising.  We are able to follow through on every inquiry our clients receive and I am able to work out group deals with larger advertisers using our growing number of ad contacts.  I started Crystal For Hire in April 2011 and now my husband is working at home with me to help manage the more than 250 accounts. Our customer service seems to be our biggest selling point.
My commenting services are also a lot of fun.  I get to read awesome blogs and comment while making some side money. And the bloggers who hire me appreciate the extra traffic my comments are helping to bring to their sites. Yay for a win-win situation!
Is there anything else you would like to share with us?

I am living proof that a little passion and a lot of hours can turn into a whole new life.  I’ve spent the last two years watching my online world grow and have even written an eBook to help the newer bloggers learn a bit faster than me.  I think everyone has the opportunity to achieve whatever goals they set for themselves as long as they have the physical and mental capabilities necessary and can fit in the extra hours of work.

Crystal is the owner of Crystal for Hire at Budgeting in the Fun Stuff. You can view Crystal’s profile page to contact her about services.

Want to save yourself hours of hard work and avoid some frustration building your new blog?  Crystal shares her secrets in her ebook:    Click here to visit How I Make Money Blogging.
